John is an award-winning creative director and legendary detail-guy. He is responsible for creating and managing ongoing brand expressions for clients, particularly when it comes to communicating complex ideas. For more than 20 years, his expertise in typography and information design has influenced branding programs, identity work, websites and annual report assignments for clients ranging from UBS PaineWebber, Texaco and VivendiUniversal, to New York University, Warburg Pincus and NewPower. John holds a BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia (where he is also an instructor in Graphic Design & Typography) and an MFA in Graphic Design from Yale University (where he assisted with the design and publication of Edward Tufte’s critically-acclaimed Visual Explanations). He is a native of Canton, Massachusetts.
