Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (Norwegian) collaborated with IOP to design and produce their impactful, elegant sustainability report, the 2023 Sail & Sustain Report. The interactive, ADA accessible PDF showcases Norwegian’s commitment to the UN SDGs, integrates the requirements of SASB, and features clear metrics and targets on climate data. Combining brand elements, tailored iconography, and illustration with Norwegian’s expansive photo library, IOP brought the visual narrative to life with a cohesive, refined design system.
To visualize the company’s sustainability measures and impact in a digestible way, IOP created multiple complex, custom infographics. We created visualizations for stakeholder engagement, a goal tracker showing progress against goals, sourcing clean energy in port, diagrams showing future ships designed to use alternative fuels, and many more. Through the use of extensive custom visualizations, the report communicates with all audiences, and the infographics can be repurposed across communications.
IOP’s work with Norwegian on their 2023 Sail & Sustain Report won #10 in the Top 100 Reports Worldwide, and Most Improved Report – Platinum in this year’s LACP Vision Awards and was recognized for Sustainability Infographics in the 61st GDUSA Design Awards.
